While I use Chrome a lot more now, FireFox is still my favorite browser due the variety of plug in and enhancements it provides users the ability to “pimp their ride” on the Internet.  One frustration that many FireFox users have lies the fact that FF does not provide an easy way to duplicate the tab/page your working on.  While not obvious or well documented, it is very easy to do.  Since so few of the people I talk to know about this feature I thought I’d share.

To duplicate a tab in FF (Short Explanation) :: <Ctrl>+<Left-Click> over Tab and Drag

Detailed Procedure.

  1. Press and Hold the <Ctrl> key
  2. Left Mouse Click and Hold (don’t let go) over the tab of page you want to duplicate
  3. Drag to the right or left until you see an arrow pointing between the tabs where you want the new copy of page to be displayed
  4. Release the mouse button.

There are lots of other tricks and features – this site has a good list of some well known and little known browser tricks for FF – http://tutorials-tips-tricks.info/some-firefox-small-tricks-you-should-try/
